bod - to be: present and perfect tenses

Use with ‘yn’ for Present tense: "I am washing" or "I wash"
"Are you washing?" or "Do you wash?"
"I am not washing" or "I don’t wash"
Use with ‘wedi’ for Perfect tense: "I have washed"
"Have I washed?"
"I haven’t washed"

affirmative
dw i/(wi)
(wyt) ti
mae e
mae hi
dan ni/(d)yn ni
dach chi/(d)ych chi
maen nhw

interrogative
ydw i?
(wyt) ti?
ydy e?
ydy hi?
ydan ni?/(yd)yn ni?
(y)dach chi?/(yd)ych chi?
ydyn nhw?
yes
"wyt/ydych"
"ydw"
"ydy"
"ydy"
"ydych/ydyn"
"ydw/ydyn"
"ydyn"

negative
dw i ddim
(dwyt) ti ddim
dydy e ddim/dyw e ddim
dydy hi ddim/dyw hi ddim
(dy)dan ni ddim
dach chi ddim
dydyn nhw ddim

Some Southern areas have a different form for the negative:

sa i
so ti
so fe
so hi
so ni
so chi
so nhw

smo fi
smo ti
smo fe
smo hi
smo ni
smo chi
smo nhw

Thus 'sa i'n meddwl' and 'smo fi'n meddwl' are the same as 'dw i ddim yn meddwl'.
