Exercise: Would using bod + yn/wedi

Use these spinners to practice ‘would’, using the conditional of bod + yn or wedi.

Step One

Spin the wheel and see which tense you’re going to be studying in this session. You can refresh your memory using these pages:

• Baswn – I would (N)
• Byddwn – I would (S)
• Baswn … wedi – I would have (N)
• Byddwn … wedi – I would have (S)

Step Two

Spin the wheel to pick a pronoun or noun, then write out three sentences using the affirmative (a statement), interrogative (a question) and negative (a denial). Click ‘eliminate’ when you’ve finished each pronoun/noun, then spin again.

Step Three

If you want to, you can pick a verbnoun to use in your sentences. Either pick one for the entire exercise, or pick a new one after each three sentences.
